Here's my morning so far.
Got up. Remembered that Arthur hadn't done his homework. Usual tension around that (only said "it's wrong" once). Set out to make breakfast. Opened kitchen cupboard and loads of spaghetti fell out on my head (Arthur very amused by this). Then the phone rang. It was a traffic warden to say that I had to move the car as the parking bay has been suspended until September (at least he called and didn't just give me a ticket or, worse, tow the car away). Hurried Arthur out. Drove him the two mintues to school. Paid £1.00 to park for five minutes, plus will have to pay congestion charge of course (all Central London stuff). Then set off to look for a parking space. Luckily found one on the scary side of the building, where the Croatian motor bike messengers hang out (not that they are scary; you need to see it really). Meanwhile, as it's a Monday morning, as usual I've recommitted to health and fitness so I am wearing running clothes. I leave the car and set off for a run. Then I remember that I need a new battery in my music thing. Plod on until, a minute later, it starts to thunder and rain. Big, blobby rain. Get very wet and go to the gym instead. Consequently I am now very red. Oh, and no hot water in our building, again.
And it's still only 10am.
